When floundering companies take on too much water, many count on the members of the Turnaround Management Association to guide them to shore. Hundreds of attorneys, bankers, auctioneers and appraisers slugged martinis at the Chicago Midwest chapter’s ninth annual networking event, held in River North’s swanky Paris Club. “80 percent of members have done business with other members,” said TMA president Kevin Krakora, senior managing director at Mesirow Financial. “People want to do business with people they know and like.”
